What do thrust, torque and the other hull stats mean?

Hover a stat in the Hull Specs panel: its tooltip says what it does and shows the maths behind it.

• Thrust is the push that moves your ship in a straight line.
• Every stat in the panel has a tooltip like this, torque included.
