Beta Patch 2 · Hotfixes 1–9
Nine smaller updates after Beta Patch 2, oldest first.
Hotfix 1
- Squad invites and the list of callsigns in local chat work again.
- World markers, such as extraction points, show from a distance again instead of only up close.
Hotfix 2
- Local chat always lists pilots of your own faction.
- Pilots of the other faction, opposing squadmates included, appear only after your local sensors or line of sight have identified them.

Hotfix 3
- The module hotkeys shown on the HUD update after you rebind controls or go back to the defaults.
Hotfix 4
- ON BOOST and ON DRIFT effects (Maelstrom is one) trigger for as long as you keep boosting or drifting, not just once.
- A held boost comes back when a Thrust Scrambler wears off and a held drift comes back after an interruption; toggled boost and drift stay on through settings, cargo and chat.
- Item tooltips use less memory, which shows when buying quickly at the Quartermaster, and killfeed clips are smoother and upload more reliably.

Hotfix 5
- Rampart Gatlings stop auto-firing at factionmates, squadmates and their drones, mines and missiles unless you are dueling them. The Gatling's module key now turns auto-fire on and off; off means hold fire.
- Signal Jammers leave factionmates alone outside duels. Accidentally hitting a friendly drone, mine or missile is forgiven the same way as a stray shot at a friendly ship.
- Shooting a Thermavore still provokes it and packmates close by, but its charges, headbutts and scrambles now come only while your reactor heat is unstable.
- Forge Plates stack to 99; new plates join a stack you already hold, and older separate stacks merge when you drag one onto another.

Hotfix 6
- Hull modifiers, upgrades and rerolls included, now suit each ship's role, and ship roles appear in contacts, kill reports and extraction summaries.
- Repair Projectors now count as Utility modules. Any Utility item, whatever its rarity, can roll repair amount, and repair beams gain from ship repair bonuses.
- Modifier lines: Telemetry Core gives +12% repair amount (was +16% missile homing), Aegis Core +15% repair amount (was +22% winch speed), Armor Plates and HEIRLOOM +8% repair amount (was +6% max heat); Reactive Plating's repair bonus falls from +44% to +32%.
- Artifact blueprints bought from hub merchants can be forged, including ones bought before the fix.
- Guardians gain a Lightning Storm ability, which STORMCALLER elites use too in tiers 3 to 7. Golems and Guardians speed up faster, start shield bashes sooner, turn faster while winding up and knock players back again.
- Relic vaults pay out an Artifact cargo container and beacons a Regalia cargo container, with the rest as loose loot. Canyon and Tunnel relic tombs pay more and lose their asteroid fields; Tunnel deploy rooms hold richer beacons, containers and mining caches.
- Mining caches roll a container tier and scale their loot to the room.
- The YATA REPLICATOR costs 900 instead of 1,000 and is about twice as likely in the tier 6 and up general loot pool.
- Bosses can now drop the Vanguard Lance, Rampart Gatling, Auto-Cannon, Flak Cannon and Photon Beam. A Brood Queen wreck has five salvage points instead of one, sharing the same loot and wreck health.

Hotfix 7
- Fixed a hang on the loading screen that hit some players.
- The Nest no longer has an invisible beam, and the abandoned hangar room in The Gallows no longer has invisible walls.
- Squadmates spawn at separate spawn points near each other, so nobody ends up outside the map.
Hotfix 8
- NPC ships hit walls and get stuck less, reach areas they were cut off from, reverse out when they can't turn, go around Strongholds and no longer circle points such as mining op leads.
- Faction convoys make it back to their train much more often. They hold position while hostile patrols sit on the route, pass up pickups when hostiles are near and reverse when the lane in front is covered.
- Faction fights nobody is watching use the usual engagement ranges, and freighters and miners never open fire first, so far fewer patrols, convoys and mining ops disappear unseen. Patrols sent to an incident they can't reach stand down.
Hotfix 9
- The Advanced rarity is now called Augmented. Advanced items you hold become Augmented, and stash search uses rarity:augmented.
- Each Tocsin Vault gets a rarity as it spawns, with the same odds as cargo containers: Normal, Augmented, Prototype or Regalia. Its name shows in that colour. Augmented and rarer vaults turn one ship per wave into an elite with 1 to 3 modifiers; the final elite has 1 to 3 modifiers by rarity, and Regalia vaults end with two 3-modifier elites.
- A Tocsin Vault drops no Regalia cargo container any more: all of its loot comes out in the loot burst, with the bonuses of a cargo container of the vault's rarity.
- Before a vault's first hack completes, a modifier item can raise its rarity: right-click the item in cargo, then click the vault's selection box within 1,200 units. HERMES AUGMENTER takes Normal to Augmented, NORN OVERCLOCKER goes one step up (Prototype at most), LAPLACE PROBABILITY MATRIX takes Normal to Prototype, and TYCHE CATALYST takes Normal to Regalia 15% of the time; a failed TYCHE destroys the vault and its loot.
- New modifier item LETHE DEGAUSSER: it wipes out all the Tek Ciphers slotted in a module and erases the module's harmonic. The ports remain, empty, and modifiers are not touched. A Harmonic module drops back to Normal and loses the build rating that came from its ciphers and Cipher Key. Found in every breach tier.
- Regalia can now link through a conduit: two pieces from one set that are both connected to a single conduit matching their module type count as linked. Set bonuses, build rating and the LINKED tooltip all include these links.
- KISHAR PRISM can now be used on artifacts and regalia: it rerolls every line, drawbacks included, inside the ranges of that particular item, while the lines themselves and the rating stay the same. PTAH CRUCIBLE now sets an artifact's or regalia's rating from its quality only; anything it already re-rated keeps its current rating.
- ORDO SOLARIS VAULT T3 now appears in the relic tomb of The Orrery: three waves (3, 5, then 6 Golems and Guardians) plus a Golem elite. Relic vault names use the Artifact colour.
- In Charter's Reach, Copper Oath, Iron Vigil and Loyalist's March, Thermavore nests hold a single Thermavore that is never an elite. Every breach mutator now keeps the mining caches' halved chance of a Normal container. Patch Repairers drop roughly 15% more often.
- The Vanguard Lance's forward arc widens from 12° to 15°.
- Fixes: modifier items no longer lose the rating added by slotted Tek Ciphers and fitting-grid consumables, they are always consumed when used on a fitted module, and a TYCHE CATALYST that fails on a fitted module no longer causes an error.
