Beta Patch 3, Hotfix 3.1
One smaller update after Beta Patch 3, oldest first.
Hotfix 3.1
- Affinity: take back points you've spent for ORE, 400 for the first and 200 more for each further point on that ship (99,000 ORE for all 30). Kill XP for affinity is now split among everyone who dealt damage or repaired, like Merit rewards, with a bonus for the killing blow.
- Missiles: range roll caps drop to +5, 6, 7 and 10% by tier, Lumen's cap from +37% to +26%, and launcher quality no longer adds range; rolls you already own are rescaled. Trace Amplifier counts only bonus sensor range (+1% missile range per +2%).
- Basilisk gives +0.9 to 1.1% turret rotation per +2% bonus sensor range, and its drawback is now 20 to 35% less heat dissipation. Bastion adds 10% explosive armor resistance.
- Thrust Scrambler: back to 4 s (the patch had made it 5 s), and it now takes a 3×1 space instead of 2×1. NPC Seraphs fit Torque Snares instead.
- Controls: right-click fires, releases and retargets the harpoon again, alongside F. Ships fitted only for repairs can Tab-lock their own faction, and repair projectors can target boss subsystems. Clicking a mining node turns your mining lasers on, and they stay on after a node is empty.
- Items: Cardea Portmender rerolls ports with ciphers attached and keeps their harmonics, as long as there's room to move them. A ship lost to a failed Tyche Catalyst sends its fitted modules and cargo to your stash. Recycling a docked ship also recycles its faction gear. HEIRLOOM keeps the hull bonus it earned after a ship loss. Inertia Coupler blueprints have three uses. Right-click an identified stash item to price it and put it straight in your store.
- World: friendly NPCs boost to keep up when told to follow you, destroying faction-aligned drones no longer raises faction hostility (Merits are still lost), Global chat announces Bastion ship kills, and fewer pirates wait at the Greylock extraction trains.
